Dance with your imagination and change your life.
The Symbol: Khanom is the name given to countless sweet or savory Thai “dumplings” imaginatively ” invented” and made for generations by hand, from locally found ingredients. Khanom come in hundreds of shape, style and flavors, and are made from a myriad of ingredients.
The Thailand Creative & Design Center has adopted the Khanom as its symbol because it succinctly expresses the creative attitude of the organization; that is, “To develop and promote human imagination and creativity, creating new products of usefulness, beauty and value, based on inherent skills, local resources and cultural advantage”
TCDC Gallery are separate into 2 rooms
1.What is design?: that was a permanent room.
Society, history, politics, economics, geography and religion – all produce unique pressures on the design process. Design is not just about style and inspiration. The collective imagination of a country is conditioned by how it relates to issues as diverse as self-expression, class, landscape, war and ideology.
‘What is Design?’ looks at how ten countries: England, Italy, France, Germany, US, Spain, Netherlands, Finland, Japan and Brazil have each interpreted their cultural uniqueness into 20th century industrial design classics and explores the ‘genius loci’ of industrial design in Thailand.
2.Hello World exhibition:

–
Too much or too little?: Large-scale manufacturing and touch-of-a-finger convenience have created an abundance that fulfills the physical, mental and spiritual needs pf individuals while depleting out resources. How do we find a new balance between this dichotomy of excess and deficiency?,
–
Backwards or forwards?: In the space of endless creative possibilities, how are we going to make use of “existing assets” or develop “new wisdom” in order to create value and improve lives?
–
Science or aesthetics?: The new millennium has brought new scientific discoveries that promise to help resolve old problems, even in the art. If this comes to pass, what relevance will aesthetics have for human creation?
–
Fast or slow?: The world is moving faster every day. As we move forward with the world, what pace are we going to take? Are we going to speed up, to keep up with change? Slow down, to make time for contemplation? Or are we going to make our own pace and live with the world on out own terms?
–
The world and us: As the world moves increasingly towards homogeneity, how can we – as individuals, members of our community and society, and world citizens – come together to design the future for ourselves and the world?
Concept is to make unity.
–
The same, but different: Each point has difference. If you look in view of the city, Each city has a different identity. For the example of New York city, This city will always maintain its spirit. The New York spirit is the engine that drives the city forward by staying “different” in a world that looks increasingly alike.

If you didn’t get what make New York different. They have some example like Manhattan Movie, each of the actors have difference characteristic but they all are New Yorkers. Another example is New York taxi, True New Yorkers might rely on the city’s subway more than people in any other cities in the US, but n-other city depends more on its taxicabs than New York. New Yorkers share a love-hate relationship with their bring yellow taxis that often feature in the background of movies.
–
Adopting with adaptation: Beginning in the early 20th century, modern weapons development led to the production of armament with greater destructive power at increasingly longer range. As a consequence, battle dress needs to provide effective camouflage in all environments, including tropical rain forest, dessert and daytime and nighttime urban environments. Emulating defensive disguises found in nature is a creative process driven a basic survival instincts.

Nowadays, the creation of produces and services in no longer constrained by rigid and limitations. Geographic idiosyncrasies may still remain, but they are no longer the only crucial factor in the creation process.
As you can see from the picture, Nowadays battle dress are change, they have only one color and has blur strip lead to better camouflage on every geographic.
And many other example of
Egg-shaped chocolate – Kinder surprise: a packet of chocolate depend on climate.
Noodle boxes:

It hard to believe that the coated-paper boxes for takeout, which are so prevalent in the US., are non-existent in China. In 1894, these boxes were used for containing shelled oysters. By the mid 1920’s, overfishing reduced the availability of oysters but the problem was solved as the cheap and tasty Chinese takeout that became popular in US.
Kit Kat: the confection has become a symbol of good luck in Japan because the Japanese pronounce it ‘kitti katto,’ which sounds like ‘kitto katsu’ — ‘surly win.’ Nestle capitalized on this lucky advantage to create over 200 different types and flavors of Kit Kat for sale in Japan.

New value from old things, New answers to old problems:
Giant yellow rubber duck sculpture:

Why does it make people all over world smile? It might be because of the surprise to see the giant duck uncannily floating on the water and partially because of the joy at seeing the representation of their childhood toy which brings back fond memories.
This sculptures provides a relief from the daily tensions and reconnects people again to interact with one another, even those who might be total strangers. It might be the reason why this exhibition use this duck as signature.

USB typewriter: things from the past have become chic again in the retro lifestyle that seeks to escape the uncertainly of the present.

3D printing: is a process of making a three-dimensional solid object of virtually any shape from a digital model. 3D printing is achieved using an
additive process, where successive layers of material are laid down in different shapes. 3D printing is also considered distinct from traditional machining techniques, which mostly rely on the removal of material by methods such as cutting or drilling (
subtractive processes).
It did not just change the creation and production for the world, but it change the imagination to all of us.
-A unified world: a unified world, as a result, doesn’t require melting down everything to achieve a uniform look; rather it means the opportunity to determine the way we look, both as individuals and as a community, and also a chance to decide together how we want the world to look.
หุ่นยนต์ดินสอ: The first commercial robots of Thailand. The goal is to serve humanity. It can interact with human by using COMPUTATIONAL INTELLIGENCE technology to recognize sign language as animated. For communication with the hearing impaired without the need to use the device.

Bitcoins can be obtained by mining or in exchange for products, services, or other currencies.
