We continue on Usability Engineering
Usability metrics: tools to measure quality of product (how good product is)
by measuring from
– Effectiveness: focusing on user problem and solution
– Efficiency: focusing on time that user performed tasks
– Satisfaction: user satisfaction
Learnability: measure how easy we learn to use system, So it’s mean shorter learning time, the less costly to train new users.
Errors: measures of efficiency. Fewer errors = More work being accomplished
– Intentional error is one where the user intended to perform the action but the action was wrong, usually due to a misunderstanding of the system
– A slip is an unintentional error made by clicking the wrong button.
Time: also measure of efficiency. Measures how long it takes to perform a task
After I have learned this class I found that most of the content are same with the content of Software Usability class that I learned last semester. So it make me more understandable about usability. The only thing that were different is the way we look on usable.
